“As another year draws to a close at Union High School, Graaff-Reinet, it is with pride and gratitude that I reflect on the unwavering support and commitment exhibited by the Old Unionite Association (OUA) this past year.

These past couple of years have tested our resilience, as the OUA mourned the sudden loss of two of its chairmen. The impact of these losses was felt deeply throughout the organisation, but the spirit of the OUA prevailed.
Through strength, determination and unity, we have rebounded from adversity, eager to build upon our past successes and foster growth within the association.
While the OUA endeavoured to provide ongoing support to the school, we also recognised the need for continuous improvement. Throughout the year, the OUA has worked tirelessly to organise a series of functions aimed at raising funds in aid of the school. These events have not only been successful in generating financial support, but they have also fostered a sense of camaraderie and nostalgia among former learners and current parents.
In addition to fundraising efforts, the OUA has remained actively involved in the school community, attending various events, celebrations and award ceremonies. We take immense pride in witnessing the incredible achievements and dedication displayed by current learners. Their accomplishments serve as a reminder of the exceptional education and character-building experiences that our association seeks to support and preserve.
