“The Union Schools continually strive to provide the very best in academic and extra-curricular opportunities for our learners.
In order to achieve this, change is constantly necessary so that the school can continue to provide these opportunities in an ever-changing environment.
Each year our school relies upon various fundraising initiatives to help pay for the many excellent, additional, educational opportunities we continue to offer our learners.
The Union Campus is in a beautiful setting, and in order to keep the school relevant, we are required to continually upgrade our facilities, i.e. new classrooms at the Preparatory School, the Remedial Centre, tennis court resurfacing and the AstroTurf to name but a few.
Union Preparatory School recently held a successful Interhouse gala, however, as in past years, shade was limited. We were fortunate enough to have gazebos from various local businesses at our disposal, however, these provide very limited cover.
This year, the Union Preparatory School Sports’ Portfolio has decided to focus on upgrading the pool area by installing permanent shaded cover in the form of a coupled dome shade port over the seating area at the swimming pool.
The purpose of this letter is to enlist your help by means of any donations that you or someone you know may be able to put forward.
The SGB will also be holding further fundraisers throughout the year toward this project. Our targeted goal is to reach R100 000.
