The “Karoo Family Favourites” recipe book, compiled by Janet Kingwill, Lynne Minnaar and Annatjie Reynolds, is a legendary publication of the Union Schools in Graaff-Reinet.

By popular demand, this exceptional publication has been revised and will be re-released in a 𝗹𝗶𝗺𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗱-𝗾𝘂𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗶𝘁𝘆 print run end-January 2022.

Like its predecessor, the new edition – which will feature a beautifully illustrated cover design by Old Unionite Rebecca Langmead – will be just short of 300 pages, each filled with traditional Karoo recipes that will no doubt bring back many memories for those familiar with the region.

As the recipes in the book have proved enormously popular over the years, the new edition will feature all the much-loved favourites the book is known for, but with the addition of a “new” carefully selected collection of “all-time favourite recipes” gathered from local families.
